Step:1 – Check your vehicle status
Confirm your vehicle registration status as ‘Invalid Carriage‘ (or) ‘Retrofitted‘ on the Indian Transport Website. It’s mandatory to get avail of this free FasTag. If your vehicle RC status doesn’t show as ‘Invalid Carriage’, you should request your Regional Transport Office (RTO) by a request letter where your car registration is done.
Step:2 – Apply for FasTag
After your RC got updated as ‘Invalid Carriage’ on Transport Authority Website, now your time to apply for free FasTag with this sample request letter format.
